Articles of Impleachment on Trump

Given the current horrors being comitted by ICE, and the constant breaking of our laws and constitution by this administration, Trump and his administration should be impeached. Our representatives should not be afraid to stand up for their people, even if that means standing against this current administration. We as a people should feel safe wherever we go.

Quality of Life Improvement

I beleive that policies should prioritize a meaningful increase in quality of life first, not revenue or economic activity for the sake of economic activity. This includes affordable and secure housing, upwards mobility, educational opportunity, prductivity through automation, and peace at a local and international level.

Education Reform

I beleive there needs to be major education reform. First, North County has need for a new university to be added that is meant to serve Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Lompoc, and the surrounding areas. This would drive up the possibilities for economic, cultural, educational, and technical exchange in manner that is more equtable. The United States is widely called the land of opportunity, and I beleive this would increase opportunity where there is lack of it. Secondly, existing University need to be more equtable in their administration through pay distrubution tha goes towards essential maintenance staff, campus housing, and the quality of education and preparement of students. Third, I would push to make Universities solely on the semester system. The quarter systems quick administrative turnarouns increase stress for students and staff, simply for the benefit of more revenue, rather than allowing for a quality of education. Fourth I would push for better accountability measures on Universities so that students are protected from injustices and an education system that sees them as means for profit thatn people who are there to imove themselves as well as the world. There are many systems in place that seem like protection on face value but they are mainly internal protocals that keep issues internal within the university. There is no real assistance for disenfranchised students or alumini to take litigation against University of Califrnia, Santa Barbra. The CSU and UC systems also pay they higher level administration such as presidents or chancelors may more than their fair share, rather than sending that money to improve the student's quality of life and education.
